Additional info: Beautiful actress and cover model Amy Weber has shown
tremendous versatility in her many on-screen roles, which
comes from her years of hard work, study of her craft, and
natural talent.
Amy was born in Peoria, Illinois and was raised in a small
town right outside of Peoria called Mapleton. She went to
school there until high school, when her parents relocated to
Ocala, Florida just before her freshman year. There she
attended Lake Weir High School, where she was a varsity track
and cross country athlete as well as a cheerleader.
Amy was a foreign exchange student in Canada for part of her
junior year. She was also active with the student body, as
well as in speech and debate class.'
“That really comes in handy these days,” Amy asserts,
alluding to her numerous on-camera roles as an actress, host,
and spokesperson.
Amy has always loved the outdoors. She raced motorcycles as a
teenager and spent many hours with animals of all shapes and
sizes. “I have always brought home stray animals - everything
from squirrels to wild rabbits to foxes and turtles,” she
says, “I thought that I could save them all!”
After attending college as a psychology major at the
University of Central Florida in Orlando, Amy grew restless
and decided to quit school, move to Los Angeles, and become
an actress.
Discovered shortly after she arrived in Southern California,
Amy's ability as a model immediately landed her numerous
print ads and television commercials including work for the
Miller Brewing Co. and Nestea.
Amy's easygoing nature and toned physique have led to a
number of television roles. Her recurring role on the ABC
soap “Port Charles” helped launch her acting career. She has
appeared on “Melrose Place”, “High Tide” and the daytime soap
“The Young and the Restless”, as well as on “Silk Stalkings”,
“Nightstand”, “Pacific Blue”, and “USA High”. She has also
appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”. Amy has also
acted in a number of independent films - most recently “Art
House”, in which she had a starring role opposite MTV's Chris
Hardwick.
In early 2001 Amy landed a role as the co-host of an exciting
new reality-based adventure show called “Getaway”, the pilot
for which aired on UPN February 23 to a strong audience. She
has also shot a pilot for a fun new series called "Spa
Adventures," which is being shopped around Hollywood, and she
recently starred in "18 Wheels of Justice" on UPN. Her
first-ever calendar is being published for 2002, which is
sure to be a big seller.
While her career as a bikini model is in full swing, Amy's
passion is acting. At the same time, she is also taking voice
lessons with plans to cut an R&B album one day.
